To Learn the Future: Poetry and Wellbeing
Join an evening of readings and discussion around To Learn the Future: Poems for Teachers, an anthology promoting wellbeing in the teaching profession. Scottish Poetry Library’s Hannah Lavery and Samuel Tongue are joined by the anthology’s editors, Kate Hendry, Jane Cooper and Lilias Fraser, plus poet Larry Butler, to explore how verse can be used as a tool for building resilience and positive mental health for those in high-pressure environments. 2019: Creative writing workshop for S6 pupils

Nothing But the Poem
2014-2016: Monthly reading sessions at the Scottish Poetry Library. No preparation required, no previous knowledge, just the pleasure of exploring poems in the company of fellow poetry lovers of all ages and interests. Held on the first Saturday of each month, each session looks at a handful of poems by one poet.

Reading Workshop: W.B Yeats
2015: A workshop at Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, Ayr. Reading and discussion of some of Yeats best-loved poems in the context of his life and work. This event is suitable for those new to poetry, as well as more experienced readers.
